You create a 5 foot long black whip of force with a purple halo which causes 4d4 points of force damage on a successful melee hit. The target must make a Constitution save or be incapacitated by pain until the end of the next round. Undead struck by the whip are turned as by a cleric three levels higher than the caster. Nonliving objects are unaffected, the whip cannot be used to bind, constrict, or entangle and is considered a magic weapon for the purpose of overcoming resistance.

At Higher Levels: This spell’s damage increases by 1d4 when you use a higher level spell slot.
