The Brick

In my first AD&D campaign at the Meetup, Slavers of the Central Sea, Matt's fighter Matthias was pickpocketed by a thief in a bar. He chased the thief out the door and into an alley. The thief tried to escape by climbing the wall. With no missile weapon on him, Matthias pried loose a brick from the street and beaned the thief with it, making him fall off the wall. Matthias kept that brick and had a leather holster made for it and carried it for the rest of the campaign. It was his back up weapon if he had already thrown his handaxe and he even used it in melee once in a while.
