Pilot Logan "Solo" Anderson

Background and Questionnaire

Your name is? Logan "Solo" Anderson

Homeworld? Age? Sex? Earth. 28. Male

What do you look like? Tall and skinny for an Earther, Logan can almost pass for a Belter.

What is your style and attitude? When working, Logan is always in a pilot's jumpsuit. When socializing, Logan is very casual, but when he's working his "second job" of gambling, he always wears a lucky Hawaiian shirt.

Do you have any quirks we should know about? Logan is obsessed with evaluating the probabilities for any situation, but when there are too many variables, he often relies on the roll of the die to make decisions.

What kind of impression do you think you first make? Logan comes across socially as very easy going and affable, until the discussion turns to piloting or gambling, about which he becomes very intense, or corporations, about which he becomes very antagonistic.

Where do you hail from? Logan was born into a wealthy family in North America. His parents both worked in the corporate world at a high level and were rarely home, so Logan was raised primarily by a succession of Nannies and the Internet. He was privileged as a child, but not spoiled. At an early age he showed absolutely no interest or aptitude for business, but had a natural flare for physics and math. He begged his parents for piloting lessons and, out of guilt over not being around for him, they spared no expense to get Logan the best training as a pilot, and by the time he was 17, Logan was an accomplished pilot of both atmospheric craft and racing spacecraft, and became the youngest member of a space racing team sponsored by his father's company. He decided to join the UNN where he assumed his natural talents would allow him to quickly succeed, but he didn't count on his absolute inability to listen to orders and be part of the UNN's boring and methodical way of teaching pilots. He washed out of the UNN within a year, and returned home feeling like a failure. Bored, he started taking an interest in his family's business, but found that it was even more tedious than he thought. However, it became quickly apparent to him the the corporation was involved in some very shady dealings with another company called Protogen. Realizing that his family's wealth was built upon corruption and the suffering of others, he decided to leave home. He left home with only the shirt on his back, refusing to take any of his family's money. He then stole the incredibly expensive racing spacecraft owned by his father's boss, which he had been allowed access to as part of the corporate racing team, and headed to the Belt. After selling the racer on Ceres, Logan has worked intermittently as a pilot as he has had trouble being hired without a military background, although his reputation as a racing pilot helps. To supplement his income, he has used his mathematics skills to try to beat the odds at gambling, with enough success that he can support himself between piloting gigs. As a result, Logan has lately come to see the world as a cloud of probabilities that can be calculated and taken advantage of, and that a mysterious force best described as "luck" seems to be guiding his life.

What is your best quality as a person? Logan has a positive outlook on life and believes that any problem can be solved with sufficient effort and resources.

Describe your personality in only two words. Happy wanderer.

Describe your favorite things and your least favorite things(foods, drinks, books, mu sic, assault rifles, etc.) Flying, loves being on the drift (especially for an Earther), ethnic foods, good beer

They say that you can judge a man by the enemies he makes and the friends that he keeps. Who is your “nemesis” and who are your allies? No person is Logan's enemy, but he feels that big corporations are evil and subsist on the suffering of the masses.

What is your romantic life like? (Orientation? A virgin? Has there been a “great love”?) Straight, no great love yet but always open to new experiences

What do you fear? (Do you have reoccurring nightmares or dreams?) Logan fears that corporate goons from his father's company will find him and try to make him pay for the stolen racing vessel (long since sold to a "legitimate" business man on Ceres).

Who do you look up to? (If there isn’t anyone now, was there someone in the past?) Logan used to admire his parents greatly, but is crushingly disappointed with them now that he knows about their company's wrong doings.

What offer would be irresistible enough for you to betray your friends and crew mates? Nothing. When you fly in space, you must trust your crew without question.

What principles matters to you most? Personal freedom

What is your most treasured possession? Why? 2 things: an obsidian control know he stole from the company racer (symbolizing stealing from the greedy corporation) and a set of platinum dice that he uses to make decisions when analyzing the odds still doesn't provide any answers.

What do you value most in all the universe? His freedom to come and go as he pleases.

What are your ambitions? (What are you social, professional, and romantic goals? What do you wish you could do that you can’t?) Logan wants to be known as the fastest and luckiest pilot in the solar system. He would love to get back in to competitive racing, but is afraid his past theft will catch up to him. He started referring to himself as "Solo" with an eye to building a new identity he could race under.

Where do you picture yourself 20 years from now? Still flying…

What other kinds of work have you done to pay the bills? Logan makes ends meet as a semi-professional gambler.

What are your political and religious beliefs, if you have any? (Do you have any prejudices?) Supports the OPA idealogically, but doesn't agree with the more violent tendencies of the group. No religion

Do you have any hobbies? (How do you pass the time away?) Perfecting his gambling skills.

What event in your life that you did are you the most proud of? Most shameful of? Most proud of going out on his own without any of his parents money. Is both proud and embarrassed about stealing the company racer.

If you the player could give your character a piece of advice, what would it be? Start thinking about the future

How do you feel about children? Someday, with the right person, but not for a LONG time…
