Wizards' Guilds

Western Guilds
Traditionally, I have had Wizard Guilds as a way to break up the massive spell lists from 2nd edition into organized groups. But 5E has a relatively low number of spells. So I think Wizard Guilds in my 5E campaigns will be smaller, more like business guilds. They are generally organized on a city by city basis and are more concerned with price setting and other commercial aspects. They are located in large cities like Opal, Beryl, Freegate, Valdaire, Chaya and Verella. They usually have a small office with some guest rooms and probably a small shop for material components. They do not have research facilities, but may have small libraries. Alchemists fall under the authority of the mage guilds.
